Thanksgiving Thoughts

Submitted by Gregg Hadley

Thanksgiving week offers opportunities to rest, have fun, spend time with family and friends, reflect and give thanks for what we are grateful for. I am grateful for serving in a profession with colleagues who:

• Help people and communities become better versions of themselves through the power of education, collaboration and positive thinking.

• Put the needs of the people, industries and communities they serve ahead of their own wishes and glory.

• Honor and embrace the missions of Cooperative Extension and Kansas State University.

• Celebrate and promote their colleagues', clients', and collaborators’ personal and professional successes.

• Reach out in times when their team members need assistance or comfort and ask, “How can I help?”

• Say with pride, “I am an extension professional!”

• Care.

I am grateful for serving in this profession with each and every one of you.
