Shout Out: Stress & Resiliency TDT Leaders
This week the Shout Out is from Elaine Johannes, Kansas Health Foundation Distinguished Professor in Community Health and State Extension Specialist; and is sent for Stress & Resiliency TDT Leaders Rachael Clews, Rebecca McFarland and Alicia Boor. Elaine writes:
"Shout out to Stress & Resiliency TDT leaders Rachael Clews, Rebecca McFarland and Alicia Boor who led the team’s retreat in Salina that included in-person presentations from Kansas NAMI (National Association on Mental Illness) and Kansas Farm Bureau - Farm Family Resiliency Task Force. The information shared moved the team’s planning along. But the most beneficial thing about the retreat was that conversation among team members was timely and real. It’s challenging to address mental health issues confronted in our communities, and being the KRSE team leading programming in stress and resiliency can feel urgent and overwhelming. Shout out to the commitment and compassion that Rachael, Rebecca, and Alicia demonstrate through their on-going leadership of the S&R Team."
Rachael, Rebecca, and Alicia, thanks for all you do for the people of Kansas, our colleagues and K-State Research and Extension.
If you know of a colleague or team of colleagues who deserve recognition for a job well done, why not nominate them for a Shout Out. Simply send their name(s) and the reason for the Shout Out to ksreshoutout@ksu.edu.
Shout Out submissions are published in the order they are received.
