Register Your Team Now to Participate in “Fostering Teamwork Through Clifton Strengths”

Submitted by Laurie Chandler

Local units along with state and regional departments and units are invited to participate in “Fostering Teamwork through Clifton Strengths.” Teams of employees are encouraged to attend together.

The purpose of this training is to allow participants to determine their personal strengths and how to use the strengths results to better understand each other and to build more effective teams. Participants will also explore where they are thriving, surviving and suffering and what they can do to increase engagement and job satisfaction.

Three sessions will be offered this spring. And in case these sessions don’t align with your calendars, three sessions will be offered in the fall with dates and locations to be announced later.

Wednesday, April 3, 1:00-4:00 pm--Manhattan, K-State Union, Bluemont Room
Friday, April 12, 9:00 am-noon--Wichita, Sedgwick County Extension Center, 7001 W. 21st St. N.
Thursday, April 25, 9:00 am-noon--Dodge City, City Building, 100 Chaffin Rd.

Registration is $20 per person, paid via check. Checks should be made out to KSU and sent c/o Jennifer Wilson, 1612 Claflin Rd, 121 Umberger, Manhattan, KS 66506. This fee covers snacks, materials, and professional development. The registration deadline is one week prior to the session date.

Once participants register, they'll be sent a code to take the Clifton Strengths assessment to find out their top five Strengths before they come. If participants have previously completed a Strengths assessment with K-State, they will see the previous results when they log in and should use those results during the training.
