Shout Out: Pottawatomie County Staff and Board
This week the Shout Out is from Amber Sharpe, Pottawatomie County Program Assistant; and is sent for Pottawatomie County Staff and Board. Amber writes:
"I am new to KSRE as my first day was just May 6th, but I would like to give a shout out to the entire Pottawatomie County KSRE Staff and Board! I have never felt more welcomed in any profession and this all happened on the wake of a tornado hitting the office. The week before I was supposed to start, there was a tornado that went through Westmoreland and the office sustained some damages that have limited its functionality. Regardless of this, I was welcomed onto the staff with a welcome lunch and helped each time I have had questions. Even the board members have reached out to make sure the transition is going well! We are in a remote working situation at the moment and though that terrified me coming into a new job it has been amazing to see how this team works together and rolls with the punches! All the fair stuff is handled, meetings through zooms, trading off office times when needed and ensuring the communities we serve never miss an opportunity!"
