Register for Pre-Conference Lecture - Leading for Impact: How to Change Your Community One Person at a Time
Submitted by Aliah Mestrovich Seay
For those of you coming to Manhattan for Annual Conference this year, we have a special pre-conference event just for you. Dr. Kaye Monk-Morgan, President and CEO of the Kansas Leadership Center, will be a guest lecturer on Monday, October 20 at 7:00 pm in the K-State Union's Forum Hall.
Lecture Topic: Leading for Impact: How to Change Your Community One Person at a Time
Our communities need leadership. They need individuals who are able to show up and engage with others towards an end, even if that end is big, hard to imagine, and even harder to achieve. We also need more spaces where new ideas are not only encouraged but sought after. Spaces where community members are empowered, with skills and confidence—to work with neighbors to change systems and improve outcomes. Each of us has something to offer to make Kansas stronger, healthier and more prosperous. Dr. Monk-Morgan will share ways to leverage individual efforts and move our communities forward.
This annual Lou Douglas Lecture is brought to you by UFM Community Learning Center, a place where everyone can learn and everyone can teach, in partnership with K-State Extension. Please register for this free event on the Annual conference web page. We hope to see you there!
