Shout Out: Post Rock District Extension Staff and Board
This week the Shout Out is from Deborah Kohl, Community Vitality State Specialist and Program Leader Coordinator; and is sent for Post Rock Extension District Staff and Board. Deborah writes:
"Shout out to the Post Rock District Extension staff and board for leaning into the planning process as they consider what comes next to serve stakeholders well. Another public servant from Kansas, Dwight D. Eisenhower, said that when in battle, plans can be useless, "but planning is indispensable." Post Rock District should reap the immense value from the planning process--especially through deepened understanding and trust of one another that results from honest conversations. A public community meeting drew representation from across all five counties and the staff took the feedback seriously in a follow-on strategy session. It's through this thoughtful and diligent preparation that we learn, anticipate challenges, and develop strategies that will serve us well when things go off track. Kudos to the Post Rock District Staff and board for taking the risk of stepping outside of the "this is what we've always done" box. We are cheering for your success!"
Post Rock Staff and Board -- thanks for all you do for the people of Kansas, our colleagues and K-State Extension.
