University Civil Rights and Title IX Training

Submitted by Jennifer R Wilson

Recently as noted in K-State Today, it was announced that K-State’s Civil Rights & Title IX Office announced the biennial training that will cover the University’s policy prohibiting discrimination, harassment, and sexual harassment, PPM 3010. This training is required to be taken by all University employees and is necessary to meet federal requirements under Title VI, Title VII, and Title IX of the federal civil rights laws. This training is an employment requirement.

All K-State Extension employees should have received two emails on Thursday, October 16.  One was from the Office of Civil Rights and Title IX and contained instructions about completing the training.  The second email contained the invitation to the Canvas course where you will take the training.

You are required to take care of this training requirement within 45 days, or risk losing access to K-State systems that require your eID. This training requirement does not apply to local unit support staff.
