KS 4-H Intermediate FCS Judging Contest

Submitted by Andrea Feldkamp

After extensive planning and preparation, resources are ready on behalf of the Kansas 4-H Intermediate Family and Consumer Science judging contest. This contest will be held on Saturday, September 19, at the Kansas State Fair. We are excited at the interactive learning opportunities that will be provided for our 9-13 year old Kansas 4-H youth participants.

The contest includes three categories: scavenger hunt in 4-H Centennial Hall related to the FCS essential skills, immersion experience and an optional presentation category.

Document resources were shared via email on Friday, May 15. Items will also be posted to the Kansas 4-H website. Details related to the location will be shared as they are available.

We appreciated your patience, as the committee worked to make concepts a reality. Likely, there will be questions, and some hiccups as we implement this learning opportunity, but are grateful for the support that many of you have provided.

Intermediate Committee Planners:
Anita DeWeese, 4-H Program Volunteer, Pratt County
Patsy Maddy, 4-H Youth Development Agent, Twin Creeks Extension District
Erin Petersilie, FCS Agent, Walnut Creek Extension District
Becky Reid, FCS Agent, Cowley County
Andrea Feldkamp, 4-H/FCS Liaison
