Adolescent and Child Health: KDHE Requests Review of the Maternal and Child Health Title V Federal Application

Submitted by Elaine Johannes

As you may recall, last fall many of you helped with focus groups of local teens and completion of the Kansas Adolescent Health Survey as part of KDHE's Title V Maternal and Child Health application. That information and other data are being included in K-State's adolescent health report which is currently in review. In the meantime, you are invited to review and provide feedback on KDHE's Title V application draft which is available at http://www.kdheks.gov/bfh/download/KS_MCH_BG_2016App_2014AR.pdf.

Your review of the application should not be later than July 6, 2015. Comments are to be submitted through this survey link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/?sm=8Dq716Mhq%2bY4NRHkJEo58A%3d%3d.

The survey and draft application are posted on the KDHE BFH website. Resources to increase your knowledge about the MCH block grant program and Kansas’ priority issues for 2016-2020 can be found on the MCH Block Grant website.

Please feel free to forward this message along to anyone who may be interested in reviewing the KDHE application for important federal funding for services to children, mothers and adolescents.
