New FRM Basecamp Project Available for Professional Development

Submitted by Katie Allen

The Family Resource Management PFT invites all FCS agents and specialists to join a new Program Showcase Basecamp project for professional development. The project contains video presentations and accompanying resources such as handouts and PowerPoints, for 30-minute programs that agents would deliver to local civic groups and organizations in their communities.

Programs available so far cover topics such as estate planning, holiday spending, health insurance literacy, knowing your credit and Prepare Kansas. These “mock” video presentations were delivered by agents in the FRM PFT and recorded at the last retreat in April.

To sign up, go to the registration page at http://bit.ly/1NdsJt8. Once registered, the FRM PFT will invite you to join the project and share these resources. We hope to continue adding other resources to this project in the future, including news articles related to family resource management. If you have any questions, contact Elizabeth Kiss at 785-532-1946 or dekiss4@k-state.edu.
