2016 NELD-NC Participants

Submitted by Laurie Chandler

Congratulations to Beth Hinshaw, Area Extension Specialist, 4-H Youth Development; Tara Markley, 4-H Youth Development Agent, Johnson County; and Bradford Wiles, State Extension Specialist, Early Childhood Development!

They were selected as 2016 National Extension Leadership Development: North Central (NELD: NC) participants. Their first seminar will be January 25-29, 2016, in Chicago.

The mission of NELD: NC is to build leaders in Cooperative Extension at all levels and provide them with the vision, courage, and tools to lead in a changing world. The program consists of three three-day seminars and an international trip. The program is sponsored by the North Central states' Extension Services and in 2016 will be delivered by the University of Minnesota Extension.

Including the 2016 delegates, 66 K-State Research and Extension faculty have participated in NELD: North Central. If you are interested in future classes or learning more about the program, visit the website, http://www.neld.extension.umn.edu/, or contact Laurie Chandler at 785-532-3066 or lchandle@ksu.edu.
