FREE Kansas Leadership Center Trainings

Submitted by Nicolette Unruh

The Kansas 4-H foundation has secured funding to offer FREE Kansas Leadership Center training. This training will be offered to 4-H alumni, volunteers, agents and friends!

All trainings will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.:

  • January 15, KLC-Wichita
  • February 19, KLC-Wichita
  • March 5, Fort Hays State University-Hays
  • April 15, Garden City Fairgrounds- Garden City
  • May 20, KLC-Wichita

This leadership curriculum is offered at Kansas Universities like K-State, Emporia State, Wichita State and more. Let's learn together to give our 4-H members a head start on their college career!

The pilot counties for the 4-H Expansion Grant: Growing Kansas Leaders, have received training through the Kansas Leadership Center and agree that this was one of the most beneficial professional development opportunities of their career. I would highly encourage ANY agent who has 4-H responsibility to consider attending one of these sessions. The Kansas Leadership Center competencies and principles focus on a different type of leadership, one that we experience every day as extension agents. We act as "change agents" and at KLC they help you prepare to do just that, enact change!
