Spring Community Vitality Update
Spring is upon us and we are all anxious to see the new growth that comes with it. We look at things with fresh eyes ready to enjoy the beauty and warmth of our surrounds. Soon summer will be here and we become complacent with things as temperatures increase.
The same can be said about our communities. We get excited when something new comes to town and are eager to give support. After a while, the excitement wears off and we revert back to our complacent ways.
If you’re looking for a way to boost vitality in your community, give First Impressions a try. First Impressions match communities of like size to conduct exchange visits. Visiting teams are asked to look at the community’s entrances, downtown, housing, schools, churches, organizations, infrastructure and much more. Results are shared in a town hall meeting and used as an assessment to determine community improvement projects.
To learn more about First Impressions, plan to attend one of the spring community vitality updates. Other topics to be covered include the Kansas PRIDE program, entrepreneurship, and the art of facilitation. At each location, highlights of local community vitality projects will be shared.
