Join Us in Celebrating MANRRS Week
The Diversity Programs Office is proud to announce that the K-State MANRRS Chapter is promoting MANRRS Week this week. We hope that you can stop by or attend one or more of the events below:
• On Monday, April 11, MANRRS had a booth set up in the Union and at Waters Hall from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. as a way to promote their student organization. Beginning this morning there will be a Membership Drive in the Union from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
• Instead of the bi-weekly meeting, please join MANRRS at the workshop presented by Dr. Terri Johnson, Assistant Dean for Student Multicultural Affairs at Southwestern University. Her workshop, entitled “This is for Real!: What’s Going on with Diversity?” will happen on Wednesday, April 13, at 5 p.m. in the Town Hall of Leadership Building. RSVPs for the workshop were due to Caitlyn Wells, caiwel@ksu.edu, yesterday, April 11.
• Dr. Terri Johnson will lecture under the same title on Thursday, April 14, from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m., in Room 123 Leadership Building. Assistant Dean Johnson will discuss critical topics including intersectionality, microaggressions, past and current activism and their impact on making change. She will engage difficult questions concerning how to embrace and advocate for social, political, and economic equality for all. The lecture is open to the public.
• Come have fun with MANRRS on Friday night, April 15! They will be in the Union Bowling Alley starting at 8 p.m.
The K-State MANRRS Chapter would like to thank you all in advance for your support at these events.
