Fourth Annual Multicultural Summit in Garden City October 6
Please join organizers for the Fourth Annual Multicultural Summit in Garden City on Thursday, October 6, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Breakfast and lunch are included in the $50 registration.
The day begins with the Diversity Breakfast, which focuses on Cuba this year. Our featured breakfast speaker is Fort Hays State University President, Dr. Mirta Martin.
The Summit begins at 9:00 with Keynote Presentation, Mosab Hassan Yousef, the author of Son of Hamas. Yousef is the son of a founding member of Hamas, the Islamic Resistance Movement.
The Plenary speaker will be U.S. Army, Major Francisco Hernandez, co-author of "Applying Global Perspectives to Improve U.S. Communities."
The afternoon session, back by popular demand, will be another multicultural panel answering questions about the educational, health care, court, and social systems of their perspective countries. Invited panelists represent Somalia, India, Burma (Myanmar), Iran, and the Ivory Coast. The panel will be moderated by Ms. Amy Longa, Esquire, from Uganda.
