K-State Research and Extension Wordmarks and Marketing Templates Available

Submitted by Megan Macy

Thank you to everyone who attended our branding and marketing session at Annual Conference. If you were unable to attend, we discussed the updated K-State Research and Extension brand policy guide and reviewed our new marketing templates. These resources and more are available on K-State Online as downloadable “course resources.” For access to the K-State Online course, please send me your eID.

All wordmarks for counties and districts are available on K-State Online. As we move forward to update all statewide program wordmarks, please contact me directly with what you need. (Example: Shawnee County Master Gardeners, etc.)

Marketing templates available are: factsheet/handouts, flyers, postcards, posters, PowerPoint templates, Save-the-Date pieces and thank-you cards. The purpose of these templates is to help you create easy and quick, everyday marketing materials. As you have larger events, need a brochure or want something a little more specific than the “generic,” please continue to contact me for those services.

I have received multiple questions as to why these resources are “locked” in K-State Online and are no longer posted on the website. This tool was chosen so I can send direct communication to everyone about new marketing items, trainings, announcements, etc. We can also track if someone has or has not accessed their information and “lock” items that require training prior to use. Anyone with an eID can request access to the course. There will be a bit of lag time as we work to get ALL K-State Research and Extension employees added to the site, but ultimately I believe it will be a great tool. If you have any trouble, please do not hesitate to contact me.

It has been great working with each of you, and I am excited to see what we can accomplish in the coming year. Remember, consistency builds credibility and is an easy first step as we work together to build our brand and increase awareness about the great things we do!
