How Local Agents Can Help Small Businesses Grow

Submitted by Nancy Daniels

The First Friday Entrepreneurship Call is “How K-State Can Help Your Small Business Develop its E-Commerce Capacity." Our speaker is Heather Morgan, Kansas State University Advanced Manufacturing Institute, Director of Engagement and Economic Development.

Dale Helwig, Ag Agent in Cherokee County, has become a faithful participant in these calls. He says, "Every call is a chance to learn a new piece of the puzzle, gain ideas, and know who can help in different situations. More than anything it is a time to see how this can fit in our community and how we can help our community grow. I recommend being part of the call because all our jobs directly tie back to economic and community vitality." The purpose of the First Friday e-call is to create a network of agents who are aware of the resources for entrepreneurs and small business and to increase the number of transactions between entrepreneurs and these resources. The First Friday e-Call is sponsored by the Entrepreneurship subgroup of the Community Development PFT and presented on Zoom. Please come to the call prepared to share how your community helps their small businesses.
