Tuesday Health & Wellness Tidbits - from Your Rural Stress Transdisciplinary Team
The Rural Stress Transdisciplinary Team has been tasked with providing some health and wellness tools to all of our KSRE team during this most stressful of times. We have spent a great deal of time and energy in working towards serving our clientele while at the same time, we all have those same issues and fears being experienced by those we serve.
The team is working on a number of ideas but our starting place is with the all new Tuesday Health and Wellness Tidbits. Look for a new “Tidbit” to be included in all upcoming Tuesday Letters. These Tidbits are designed to remind each of us as agents to take some time each day to take care of yourself!
This week we wanted to remind everyone that our State Employee Health Plan, (and most insurance plans for those not covered under the SEPH) offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). EAP can be found at: http://www.kdheks.gov/hcf/healthquest/eapservices.html. The EAP may be reached by phone 24/7 at 888-275-1205, press option 1.
Through the EAP, you and your dependents receive confidential assistance from caring professionals who can help you evaluate the situation, answer questions, explore possible alternatives, develop a plan of action, and then help you find a solution. EAP offers the following services: Short-term Personal Counseling; Legal Advice and Discounts; Personal Money Management Assistance and Information; Work-Life Solutions; and Guidance Resources Online. The EAP can assist members of our KSRE family who may be experiencing heightened levels of anxiety during this time.
