2020 HealthQuest Program Updates
On Tuesday, June 16, the Health Care Commission voted to reduce the number of HealthQuest credits required for eligible members enrolled in the State Employee Health Plan to receive the 2021 premium incentive discount. The credit requirement was reduced from 40 points to 20 points, due to the exceptional circumstances created by COVID-19.
In addition, the HSA/HRA contribution awarded for each HealthQuest credit completed has been increased from $10 to $20 per credit, up to the maximum of $500 per member. This change applies only to the 2020 plan year.
Those enrolled in Plan A will earn the 2021 premium incentive discount by completing 20 credits in 2020. Employees on an employee/spouse or employee/family plan require both the employee and spouse to earn 20 credits to receive the full premium discount of $480 for 2021.
Those enrolled in Plans C, J, N, and Q participants will earn the 2021 premium incentive discount by completing 20 credits in 2020. Employees will also receive $20 in HSA/HRA dollars for each HealthQuest credit completed, up to the maximum of $500 per member. Employees on an employee/spouse or employee/family plan require both the employee and spouse to each earn 20 credits to receive the premium discount of $480 for 2021. Employees and spouses on an employee/spouse or employee/family plan will also earn $20 in their HRA/HSA for each credit earned, up to $500.
For HealthQuest credits already completed, active employees and spouses will see the additional HSA/HRA dollars sent to their NueSynergy HSA/HRA accounts by August 1.
For university employees on summer leave, the additional HSA/HRA dollars for HealthQuest credits already completed will be reflected on the first paycheck upon return in the fall semester.

I sit on the Employee Advisory Committee to the State Employee Health Plan. Our next meeting is at the end of July. One of the discussion items will be on the HealthQuest point system. We may be looking at suggesting some changes to the number of points earned for specific activities. See the Incentive Guide for Plan A and Incentive Guide for Plans C,Q,N, and J for more information.
If you have any comments or suggestions, please email them to me, Maria Beebe at pappy@k-state.edu.
