4-H Club Communications Project 2020/2021

Submitted by Amy Sollock

Using National 4-H Council’s 4-H Communications Curriculum, Module 1, regional 4-H Youth Development specialists will offer a series of webinars to train club volunteers to utilize six lesson plans with their 4-H members. One Communications Curriculum, Module 1 booklet will be provided for each participating 4-H club. Club leaders and other club volunteers will be strongly encouraged to facilitate lessons during their monthly club meetings as part of their educational program time. This will enhance and ensure hands on learning, youth engagement and communications skill building for all club members. Supporting resources can be found in the Club Communications Project File Folder in the Youth Development Channel within the KSRE Resources TEAM.

You may watch the webinar from August 26 where we gave an overview of this exciting opportunity. You'll need to copy and paste this passcode to view the recording: =f2Mc@rS

After you’ve watched the webinar and reviewed the volunteer position description, we ask that you:

1. Encourage your local 4-H clubs to participate
2. Help each club identify an adult volunteer and/or teen leader to give leadership to this effort
3. Provide sign up link to participating clubs (Clubs may sign up between September 1- October 9) https://kstate.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5hxQG7BJ1c0S7hH
4. Encourage and support engagement through the 2020/2021 4-H year
5. Assist in evaluation efforts in August/September of 2021

Questions may be directed to any Regional 4-H Youth Development Specialist.
