Be Part of the Pilot: Grant Workshops Going Online.
In 2016 before we trained more than 1700 local community members to write grants, K-State Research and Extension agents were the first people we trained.
Thanks to your support, the grant writers who responded to a survey in the first year after they attended, have written grants of $32.4 million with $18.4 million brought into your communities. Many of you have hosted more than one workshop.
The model and partnership worked so well, we're asking for your help again. We're taking Grant Writing workshops online and offering K-State Research and Extension agents and staff the opportunity to be the first participants.
The Pilot classes will be offered Wednesdays, January 13 and 20, 2-5 p.m. The course will be limited to 24 people, but if the response requires more classes, we'll set up more. The cost to participate in the pilot is $15. To register: https://tinyurl.com/y388vy32.
Future grant writing workshops will cost $60 per person, for agents and community members.
Besides teaching you to write grants, the desired outcomes from this workshop are to test the new format, get your input for improvement, and engage your partnership to host workshops in your communities.
