Reminder: Partnership Meeting

Submitted by Gregg Hadley

Tonight from 7 to 8:30 p.m. will be our quarterly Partnership Meeting. The Partnership Meeting series is targeted to our Extension Board and Program Development Committee partners, but all of our local, regional and campus-based extension professionals are always encouraged to attend. To find the connection information, please click here.

At tonight’s meeting, we will hear from two local units on how they used civil rights program parity information to develop plans to reach new audiences. We will also respond to questions that have been asked via a survey sent to local board members or were asked through various channels since our last Partnership Meeting. Of course, we will have our usual administrative update. The administrative update includes a summary of the new bylaws for our State Extension Advisory Committee. SEAC is the Extension Administration Team’s advisory committee which consists of current or recent local-unit Extension Board members. SEAC members are elected by our local unit Extension Board chairs to serve on this important committee.

Because we will hopefully be seeing each other tonight, I will make this short and leave you with this. Philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche opined, “He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how.” Our mission is to enable the people we serve to enhance their lives, livelihoods and communities through the power of science-backed education. Focus on that mission, especially in these challenging times. There are few that are more important or honorable in our society. Thanks for all that you endure and do in achieving that mission.
