Community Health Briefing: KSRE and Community Health Worker (CHW) Partnership

A partnership with the Kansas Community Health Worker (CHW) Coalition has resulted in state and regional extension specialists serving on the coalition's committees, and being members of the teaching team for CHWs in Kansas. During their training, CHWs are informed about the extension system and are encouraged to ask local extension agents about opportunities to shadow extension health programs, attend community health coalition meetings, and assist with community health events (e.g., vaccination clinics).
