I hope you all had a restful and fun Memorial Day weekend with your families and friends. I also hope you were able to remember and pay tribute (in your own way) to all of those who have died while serving our country.
Last year at this time, we were in the midst of stay-at-home orders, which meant we all probably had a more subdued holiday. I want to thank each of you for all the great work you did this past, challenging year. When the people we served needed education to navigate the challenge, you responded. When we needed to learn and adopt new ways to deliver that education, you responded. When we needed to keep our participants and each other safe, you responded. When our colleagues found the COVID-19 pandemic challenging and needed a reach-out, you responded. I also hope that when you found the going tough, you responded by taking care of yourself and by seeking the support of your colleagues.
In short, thank you for doing what all great extension professionals do. Thank you for responding and how you responded this past year, and how you will respond to the needs of others and yourself in the years to come.
