Economic Inequality, Social Mobility, and Institutionalized Racism

Submitted by Nozella Brown

YOU ARE INVITED!

"Economic Inequality, Social Mobility, and Institutionalized Racism”
Zoom Symposium
Tuesday, June 29, at 3 p.m. CDT

Our Extension colleagues at Washington State University invite us to this Zoom symposium as an opportunity to increase our awareness and sharpen our diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) skills in Kansas.

With this Zoom symposium the Social Innovations Journal (www.socialinnovationsjournal.org) hopes to provide policymakers, social services practitioners, community organizers, and most crucially average Americans, insight into the problems of income inequality, social mobility, and the role of institutional and social racism. Moreover, panelists hope to share solutions and shed light on bright-spots where organizations and individuals are overcoming society’s limitations and achieving social mobility, despite the odds. Included will be policy suggestions and case studies to encourage lobbyists and policymakers to enact broad changes to make it easier for Americans to achieve the dream we have all been promised.

The symposium cost is only $4.99 or an additional $9.99 for a Social Innovations Journal membership.
