Shout Out: Margarita Munoz, Peggy Bailey and Cori Singleton
The Shout out this week comes from Lisa Martin, Shawnee County EFNEP Agent, and is directed to her staff, Margarita Munoz, Peggy Bailey and Cori Singleton. Lisa writes:
"At the beginning of the Stay at Home orders, EFNEP across the country was scrambling on how to reach clients as our teaching model is direct education that is provided in-person. EFNEP had been working on a technology policy and a few states were piloting virtual classes, however, we weren't ready for online teaching.
My staff, Margarita Munoz, Peggy Bailey and Cori Singleton, learned how to Zoom, use Google Voice, and do interactive cooking online. Because of their tenacity and commitment to our clients, we have been able to overcome many barriers, stay engaged on our community, and most importantly, serve our families.
Margarita, Peggy and Cori, thanks for all you do for the people of Kansas, our colleagues and K-State Research and Extension.
If you know of a colleague or team of colleagues who deserve recognition for a job well done, why not nominate them for a Shout Out. Simply send their name(s) and the reason for the Shout Out to ksreshoutout@ksu.edu. Also, it would be very helpful if you would put "Shout Out" in the subject line of the email.
