DPO Fall Event Calendar

Happy fall and Hispanic Heritage Month!

We trust all are adjusting well to full-capacity classes and work schedules. As the fall semester is getting started, the Diversity Programs Office (DPO) would like to welcome Sarah Weekes and Zenzele Asante to our office and welcome back Lonnie Hobbs, Jr., Summer Santillana, McKenzie Stevens, Sydney Besa, Sanders Barbee and Raymond Thomas. We are looking forward to an exciting semester filled with many events.

Please mark your calendars and join the DPO and the K-State Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences (MANRRS) Chapter for our events this semester (see flyer). This Wednesday is the Fall 2021 MANRRS Virtual Corporate Showcase on September 29 at 6 p.m., Zoom ID 972 0061 3215, where students are given the chance to network with a variety of corporate partners and discuss internships and job opportunities. Please join us in networking and learning from our corporate partners, including Land O’Lakes – Purina Team, Cargill, Merck Animal Health Inc., Compass Minerals, Ardent Mills, Mars Petcare, Syngenta and John Deere Co. We are thankful for their willingness to spend the evening with the students and look forward to the connections made. Earlier this month, on September 14, we also had the opportunity to speak with and learn from the John Deere Co.’s representatives about the Importance of Diversity in the Workplace during the virtual Fall 2021 Student Leadership Workshop.
