The Community Health Corner

Submitted by Elaine Johannes

The Community Health Corner provides tools you can use to support Extension's Grand Challenge for Health.

According to the CDC, community health uses science-based approaches for the greatest health benefit to the greatest number of people by addressing social, economic, and structural drivers that impact health. Addressing policies, conditions and inequities that contribute to the poor health of Kansans is the most effective way to tackle big health issues. Being healthy is not just about individual choices, it’s also about the conditions that influence everyone’s health.

To support your communications efforts, we have created a new booster dose toolkit with topline messages, Answers to Tough Questions, shareable graphics, and sample social media posts. The toolkit is produced by the Public Health Communications Collaborative which is a reputable source of information.

UPDATE NOW: The Kansas Prevention Collaborative (KPC) is updating its state coalition directory map and wonders if you see an error that needs to be corrected? Help KPC correct this information by submitting the requested change via the Contact Us form.
