Shout Out: Susan Schlichting and Robyn Trussel
The Shout Out this week comes from Elly Sneath, Meade County Director; and is directed to Susan Schlichting, Cottonwood District 4-H Youth Development agent; and Robyn Trussel, Walnut Creek District 4-H Youth Development agent. Elly writes:
"I'd like to nominate Susan Schlichting and Robyn Trussel for a Shout Out. These ladies organized a Michelle Cummings Training (this year) but have also brought in Jim Cain. These types of team building/leadership trainings are essential to successful, active and engaged youth programming.
I was able to take a few youth participants this year. When we left, the youth commented, "This was the BEST 4-H training/event we have ever been to. It was fun to learn the activities, but also be able to apply what we learned to real life and why." I'm excited to see what these youth will do with the skills they have learned with others in our county! Thank you Susan and Robyn for hosting these types of events."
Susan and Robyn, thanks for all you do for the people of Kansas, our colleagues and K-State Research and Extension.
If you know of a colleague or team of colleagues who deserve recognition for a job well done, why not nominate them for a Shout Out. Simply send their name(s) and the reason for the Shout Out to ksreshoutout@ksu.edu. Also, it would be very helpful if you would put "Shout Out" in the subject line of the email.
