The document labeled K-State Research & Extension Role at Fairs & Shows has been updated to be more readable and reflect changes made in 4-H Policy effective October 1, 2021. The link is located here: https://www.kansas4-h.org/resources/policy-guide/index.html.

Technically, these changes have already been discussed system-wide and changed initially in 4-H Policy this past spring (https://ksre.k-state.edu/tuesday/announcement/?id=73246). The language of those changes is now reflected in the Extension Roles document more accurately and read sequentially following the structure and numbering of Kansas 4-H Policy.

I hope this can assist you in collaborative work with local fair boards to increase partnerships and center communications around the science of positive youth development and the importance of public showcases (like fairs and shows) in the development of 4-H youth as effective learners, communicators, collaborators and contributors to their local communities! There are also KSRE/FAIR board Memorandum of Understanding samples that can be utilized to frame conversations - located in the KSRE Resources TEAMS page under FILES in YOUTH DEVELOPMENT. Look for FAIR MOU Resources!

Keep doing great 4-H youth development programming! So good to see many of you last week in Manhattan!
