Make This Year the Year!
You know there is a need. It may be a need to develop and implement a new program, a new process, or do something a little different than before. Make this year the year that you are going to do that new thing.
Someone or the little voice in your head may be saying, “We have never done that before!”
Do you view that message as an obstacle? Many do. Why not make it one more reason to try that new thing?
Someone or the little voice in your head may be saying, “We already tried that, and it didn’t work!”
Do you view that message as a reason not to do it? Are the conditions the same as they were then? Are you planning to do it the same way as you did then? Is it targeted towards a group that has the exact same preferences as before? Answer those questions and move forward accordingly!
“What if I fail?”
That is one of the scariest questions. I believe it was best answered by poet Erin Hanson in her poem What If I Fall?:
“And you ask, 'What if I fall?' Oh, but my darling, What if you fly?”
Make this year the year that you fly!
