K-State Research and Extension’s greatest resource is its people.
Local unit office professionals provide excellent customer service and work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the success of local programs. Agents design and deliver innovative programs, share resources and facilitate processes that solve community issues. Specialists conduct research, develop programs and work with agents and others in our system to connect the university to communities across the state.
Being recognized for a job well done increases job satisfaction and engagement for the receiver. Nominating a colleague also has its benefits. Research indicates that those who give recognition also receive a boost in morale and have a more positive work experience.
Our K-State Research and Extension awards are a great opportunity for everyone to benefit from employee recognition. To learn more about how to nominate your colleagues for recognition, please visit the Annual Conference website. There are 11 award categories, plus the Communicator of the Year Award sponsored by the Department of Communications and Agricultural Education. Nominations are due August 15, so don’t delay!
Award winners will be recognized throughout the K-State Research and Extension Annual Conference, October 18-20.
