Thank You
This past week, the best of the best of our 4-Hers’ projects made their way to Hutchinson for our annual Kansas State Fair. They came from everywhere across the state. The projects represented another entire year of our 4-Hers’ inspiration, dedication, perspiration, education and maturation.
In addition to our 4-Hers’ effort, the projects also reflect the guidance and work provided by their parents, family members, our 4-H volunteers and us as extension professionals. This work began long before the 4-Hers' local fairs, will continue to run through the Kansas State Fair, and then start all over again after the Kansas State Fair concludes.
That work includes mentoring our 4-Hers, administering the 4-H program both locally and statewide, preparing the local fair and state fair facilities for the exhibits, judging, administering the fair and answering questions of hundreds of thousands of fair goers.
Of course, our 4-H program transitions meant increased effort by everyone to prepare and administer our Kansas State Fair efforts. Despite the challenges, I understand that our set up, entry and displaying activities went extremely well. I am proud of that effort.
Thank you for all you do in making our 4-H programming efforts such a success this and every year.
