KSRE/KDA Farmers Market/Direct-to-Consumer Sales Webinar Series

Submitted by Londa Nwadike

Registration for the KSRE/KDA Farmers Market/Direct-to-Consumer Sales Conference is now available at https://www.fromthelandofkansas.com/page/farmers-market-regional-workshops. More information, including the agenda, is also available on that website. We are in the process of putting out a press release, flyers and social media posts on this and will also share those with you as appropriate (or contact us if you have not received them and want to receive them).

This year, we are only planning to offer these sessions remotely. You are welcome to allow participants to watch the sessions at your office, but we are not advertising that or coordinating that this year.

We also plan to post the recordings within a few days of the event.

The sessions will be on February 6 - 10, from noon - 1 each day. The details of each of the presentations are included on the website. Participants can still get their sales scales certified for free as part of their registration ($5) for the conference. They will be asked when they register about the number of scales they would like to get tested. Participants will be contacted after registration to let them know when and where they can bring their scale to get tested. Scale testing will also take place during the Local Meat Marketing workshops that will be held in Wichita on February 3; Olathe on February 24; and Parsons on March 3 (more information on those is available here: https://www.rrc.k-state.edu/localfoods/index.html). Other scale testing locations will also be set for late February/ early March after we know how many scales need to be tested and where.

A huge thank you to the Kansas Center for Sustainable Agriculture and Alternative Crops (KCSAAC) and the Kansas Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Program (SARE) for their continued generous financial support of the workshops.

Please feel free to let Londa Nwadike, lnwadike@ksu.edu, know if you have any questions on the webinar series.
