Agent Food Preservation Training

Submitted by Karen Blakeslee

The registration for the Agent Food Preservation in March 2023 is now available.

This three-day intensive workshop for extension professionals will teach the science behind food preservation, safe methods of preserving various types of foods, food preservation equipment, troubleshooting of common issues and considerations for small businesses selling preserved foods. This workshop will demonstrate a variety of techniques and help prepare professionals to offer Preserve It Fresh, Preserve It Safe programs, test canning equipment and answer food preservation questions. The $100
cost includes lunches and snacks all three days, plus participants will receive products made in the class and helpful resources. There are two locations and dates to choose from in March 2023 with the same agenda, so choose the one that works best for you and register by March 3, to reserve your spot! Please note that partial attendance is not an option and plan to attend all three days of training.
