Shout Out: Abbie Powell
The Shout Out this week comes from the Marais des Cygnes Extension District staff, and is directed to Abbie Powell, District Director. They write:
"The Marais des Cygnes Extension District staff would like to give a Shout Out to our District Director, Abbie Powell. Abbie does a great job of managing staff, giving input and support on different programming and ideas, and being transparent.
She schedules quarterly "Silo Shakedown" meetings to bring the district agents together for collaboration. At the most recent meeting we went through the district budget to get a better understanding of the different categories, what funds are available for the new year, and appropriate use of funds."
Abbie, thanks for all you do for the people of Kansas, our colleagues and K-State Research and Extension.
