You Can Help Your Community Get Housing Resources

Submitted by Nancy Daniels

There are new state funds being allocated for housing. One of the first steps to applying for these resources is to complete a Housing Assessment Tool.

Tuesday, March 28, at 2 p.m., the Kansas Department of Commerce is hosting a webinar, "Assisting Communities through the Housing Assessment Tool (HAT).”

This webinar is for the organizations, county agents, professionals, and individuals who will assist communities in completing the Housing Assessment Tool (HAT). It will provide an overview of the HAT process and community assistance best practices. The HAT is a self-assessment guide for communities to gather and analyze data on their housing inventory, partner with relevant stakeholders, and develop priorities for local housing investment. This tool can be used for state housing funding and to make data-driven decisions in addressing housing investment opportunities.

Register in advance for this meeting. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
