Pre-Annual Conference Event to Address Sample Collection on October 23

Submitted by Sandy Johnson

To answer client questions, samples are often needed to provide the best management suggestions related to topics such as fertilization or animal management. This year the Ag PFTs have planned a pre-annual conference session on Monday afternoon, October 23, to include forage, soil, insects, plant tissue or water sample collection.

Topics to be covered include what and how to sample, how much sample to collect, and how to ensure good sample quality. One breakout will cover body condition scoring as this information is often a key part of answering questions related to cattle. Attendees will be able to attend three of five breakout sessions covering the topics previously mentioned.

The program will start at 1:30 p.m., Monday, October 23, at the Stanley Stout Center, 2200 Denison Avenue, Manhattan. A social and meal will follow at 5:30 p.m. Please let us know if you can join by using this Qualtrics link by October 13: https://kstate.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_72IilzZSjPWPezY.
