ESS/ESCOP is Rebranding to AgInnovation

Submitted by Jeanette Thurston

For the past year, as many of you know, our national Agricultural Experiment Station organization - ESS/ESCOP - has been working on rebranding. The new ESS/ESCOP identity is now agInnovation. We have communicated this effort with our agInnovation community via email and during our recent agInnovation fall meeting (great to see so many of you there!).

With your help, we would like to inform others in the college (e.g., Deans, department chairs, communications staff, and others) of this change as your college community is important to the successful adoption of this rebrand and your endorsement of our new name and logo carries weight. Please know that this rebranding does not affect the name or identity of your entity.

It’s more than just embracing a new name and logo; we are confident that this rebrand is an important element that will bring more attention and resources to our agricultural science pursuits.

WHAT I KINDLY REQUEST YOU TO DO:

1. Share with your college team that the rebrand is taking place. You can view the rationale behind "Our Why" here.
2. Watch - or delegate someone to watch - the agInnovation Rebrand Webinar, on YouTube and/or view the webinar presentation slides.
3. Below are several resources to leverage and pass to your teams for further clarification and dissemination when appropriate:

· Executive Summary: This is a helpful asset for understanding the myriad considerations the rebrand team took into account.
· FAQ: Simple answers for questions your communications team(s) will have regarding when and where they may need to act.
· Key Talking Points: You have many conversations in your role, and we’d like you to feel as informed as possible. Further, your communications team will appreciate the distilled list of critical talking points.

Thank you for helping get the message out on our agInnovation rebrand! If you need more support or clarification, please reach out.
