New Scholarships for Professional Development Training at KLC
In 2018, a multidisciplinary KSRE team made our first application to the Kansas Leadership Center for professional development scholarships. Over the past 5 years, 130 KSRE professionals have taken 160 classes valued at over $115,000. In 2022, KLC received the Epsilon Sigma Phi award as a Friend of Extension.
We have good news! Kansas Leadership Center is continuing its partnership with K-State Research and Extension for 2024.
KLC training offers the opportunity to disrupt traditional learning patterns, identify barriers to progress, and provide actionable leadership skills, in a supportive environment with hands-on practice.
The KLC leadership path has three steps meant to be taken in sequence. Please find your step on the KLC Path and register while every option is available to you. Use payment code KSRE2024.
We highly recommend the in-person workshops which give you time away in a professional setting. Kansans rarely experience such a diverse group of learners; once you've experienced it, you'll know why diversity matters. If you need a virtual experience, virtual classes are available and highly rated by your colleagues.
The scholarship pays for registration; you are responsible for travel, books and accommodations.
Facilitation is one of the key strategies Extension utilizes in local communities to make progress on challenges. KLC training is a valuable tool in our facilitation toolbox. If you have questions, please contact anyone on the KLC Core Team.
