After nearly 18 years of service to the Kansas 4-H Foundation, Rhonda Baer, administrative assistant, will retire from her position January 31. In addition to teaming up with Jerry to complete some “put off way too long” house projects, Rhonda looks forward to continuing her music ministry and participating in church and community volunteer efforts. However, her most significant retirement reward is more Grandma time!

Anyone who meets and interacts with Rhonda experiences her cheerful greeting, kind words, and her philanthropic heart. Her warmth and care for others is unmatched. We are grateful for her countless contributions toward advancing the mission of the Kansas 4-H Foundation. While we will all miss working alongside Rhonda, our team wishes her a relaxing, joy-filled retirement.

Rhonda shares: “I was blessed when Gordon Hibbard hired me in 2006. I have enjoyed my supportive role and the opportunity to make a positive impact on behalf of Kansas 4-H. My life has been enriched by the people I have met and worked with along the way.”

Notes of congratulations can be sent to Rhonda at 102 S. Lake St, Riley, KS 66531, or to her email address: baerrhonda@gmail.com.

We are also pleased to share that Allison Poppe will join the Manhattan staff as the administrative professional. Allison is a Geary County 4-H alum who has held professional roles with the Geary County school district, State Farm Insurance, Farm Bureau Financial Services and most recently she has been using her 4-H baking skills at Radina's Bakehouse.
