Volunteers Needed to Evaluate State 4-H Project Awards

Submitted by Amy Sollock

KSRE Resources Each year, 4-H members from across the state are recognized for their work and accomplishments within a 4-H project area. We are looking for anyone in the KSRE system (Administrators, Specialists, Agents, OP's, PA's, experienced volunteers, etc.) who is willing to read and evaluate project award submissions. KSRE staff and volunteers who want to serve in this capacity are encouraged to complete a short form linked here on or before March 1: https://kstate.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_eKI752aKny8DOQK

Location: Remote. Project Award Submissions are evaluated electronically.

Requirements: Evaluators will sign a confidentially statement and receive additional information on how to score the Project Awards. Each project area will have 3 evaluators. An aggregate score will determine winners for the Project Area.

Skills and Knowledge and Requirements: Ability to be fair and objective and access to reliable internet and technology.

4-H Department will provide an orientation for all evaluators. Evaluators will have the month of March to read and score submissions.

You can choose one or a multiple number of project areas to evaluate. You can also rank your preference of project areas, so that you're evaluating a topic that you have an interest in. Evaluators from previous years often tell me how much they enjoyed reading and learning about the amazing efforts of the young people in their 4-H projects. General questions can be directed to Amy Sollock at asollock@ksu.edu. Lots of project areas still available to choose from! Thanks in advance!
