Last Chance to Apply for a Local Food Fellow
In 2024 K-State Research and Extension Local Food Systems funded 16 unique local food system projects with our partners across the state of Kansas from Liberal to Kansas City. Perhaps you've heard about the recently expanded Flint Hills Food Recovery Program on K-State campus, organized and launched with the support of Adelaide, a local food fellow with the Riley County Food and Farm Council. Or perhaps you've taken a look at the Local Food Guide for Reno County, written and produced by Kelli, a local food fellow with KSRE Reno County. These are just a few of the amazing local projects that are inspiration to other communities doing local food system work. What project idea do you have that could be completed with a 320-hour fellow?
Please don't delay in deciding what you'd like to apply for and submit your application to host a local food fellow. We provide the funding to hire the fellow and you provide the project idea, leadership and supervision of the fellow. We are accepting applications now through September 30, 2024, for projects in spring or summer of 2025. This is your last chance to apply!
