Celebrate K-State MANRRS Week, February 24-28, 2025

Submitted by Zelia Wiley

Join the K-State MANRRS Chapter this week as we celebrate our Spring 2025 MANRRS Week Activities.

Today, Tuesday, February 25, at 5:30 pm, join K-State MANRRS as we host the reception for the 2025 Wallace Kidd Memorial Award. This award recognizes the outstanding contributions and accomplishments of K-State faculty, staff, and students who support diversity, success, student retention and inclusion. This year we will be awarding it to the College of Agriculture Associate Dean of Academic Programs, Dr. Dan Moser. The event will take place in Waters Hall, Room 137.

Wednesday, February 26, MANRRS will be holding a Career Readiness Workshop to prepare our students for job/internship/virtual interview, and national conference participation. The workshop is from 6:00-8:00 pm, in Waters Hall 137, sponsored by The Andersons, Inc. We will also have Mary Ellen Barkley, College of Agriculture Career Center Liaison to share her expertise. This workshop includes discussion of career readiness per resumes, cover letters, and general application advice. RSVP for the workshop here.

Thursday, February 27, K-State MANRRS will be hosting a JR MANRRS Event in Topeka, Kansas. The K-State MANRRS chapter will present to K-12 students about Food and Agricultural Sciences with emphasis in Food Security. We are also happy to partner with the Shawnee County Extension Office on this important topic.

K-State MANRRS will finish the week on February 28, highlighting our week via social media and having a Bowling event at the K-State Union Bowling Alley.

Thanks in advance to all of our partners, in supporting the Spring 2025 K-State MANRRS Week! Hope to see you. These events are open to all. For questions, please contact Zelia Wiley, zwiley@ksu.edu or 785-532-5793.
