Child Care and Early Learning Systems Transdisciplinary Team Creates Survey for K-State and Extension Professionals

Submitted by Tristen Cope

Hello All,
The newly proposed Child Care and Early Learning Systems Transdisciplinary Team (TDT) is being formed to address the growing challenges Kansas families face in accessing high-quality, consistent child care and early learning experiences. With over 212,000 children under age six in our state, this TDT seeks to bring together professionals across disciplines to develop solutions that support children, families, and workforce participation through collaboration, education, and policy, systems, and environmental (PSE) change efforts.

The goals of the TDT include:
• Conducting needs assessments and identifying local, regional, and statewide child care issues
• Expanding and retaining child care options
• Supporting recruitment and professional development of providers and caregivers
• Strengthening partnerships with stakeholders
• Promoting strategic community planning and systems-level approaches

We are seeking input and participation from any K-State or Extension Professionals who are interested in this work.

Please take a few minutes to complete the following survey: https://tinyurl.com/EarlyLearnTDT

For further questions, please reach out to Trisha Greene (trishagreene@ksu.edu) or Tristen Cope (tcope@ksu.edu).

Have a great day,
Trisha Greene and Tristen Cope
