Shout Out: Denise Dias
This week the Shout Out is from Janice McMahon, Wyandotte County Nutrition Agent for Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP), and her Wyandotte County Extension colleagues; and is sent for Denise Dias, Wyandotte County Extension Director. They write:
"We would like to give a shout-out to Denise Dias. This year, our office has experienced a lot of mental health crises in and outside of work, and she has taken each scenario very seriously. She went out of her way to do mental health training, offering counseling options, encouraging self-care, and found additional resources and classes for staff to utilize. She has been a touchstone for our office, and I appreciate the support she offers all our staff and their families.
