Small Engines Project. 4H1178. Patsy Maddy and Bill Osborn. Everyday tasks are possible because of small engines. These machines are generally under 20 horsepower and keep homes, farms, and communities running. Youth explore how engines work, how to maintain them, and how to diagnose and repair problems. Members gain hands-on experience with tools, fuel systems, and mechanical parts while learning important safety practices.

Uncrewed Aircraft Systems. 4H1179. Patsy Maddy, Eian Pracht, and David Blocker. The Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS) project brings science, technology, engineering, and math together as youth explore the exciting world of flight through drones. Members learn how drones work, how to fly them safely and responsibly, and how they are used to solve real-world problems.

Boom Motion and Spray Coverage. MF3728. Ajay Sharda and Treman Kaloya. Boom stability is a critical indicator for coverage quality. Setting up equipment and managing driving styles can help ensure even spray coverage and save time and money.
