Livestock PFT Spring Meeting Registration Due Soon
Agents are invited to join the Livestock PFT for a professional development trip to the Meat Animal Research Center (MARC), Clay Center, NE, and the surrounding area on March 24 and 25. We will meet and share transportation to the Hastings area (transportation to and in the Hasting, NE area should be coordinated to carpool as much as possible). On Tuesday afternoon, we will hear from Pillen Farms (hog operation in WWII bunkers) and visit Gottsch Cattle Company. On Wednesday, we will travel to MARC to hear from the scientists, tour some of the livestock facilities, and meet with UNL Extension folks in the area. The Livestock PFT will help cover the cost of hotel rooms and carpool vehicles.
Please RSVP and make your own reservations by February 27 at the Hampton Inn in Hastings, NE. The room will be held with your card, but paid by the PFT after your stay. Please coordinate for double occupancy as much as possible.
