2015 NELD Graduates Thank ESP

Submitted by Nozella Brown

September 18, Lisa Newman (Central Kansas) and Nozella Brown (Wyandotte) graduated with the 2015 class of the National Extension Leadership Development (NELD) program, expressing appreciation for this amazing opportunity.

NELD'S mission is to "build leaders in Cooperative Extension at all levels and provide them with the vision, courage, and tools in a changing world." Its purpose not only includes increased knowledge of effective leadership, but also to build a more robust Extension network. NELD trains extension professionals in 12 leadership competencies through a variety of individual and group interactive and experiential techniques that encourage personal and professional growth.

A special thanks to the Alpha Rho chapter of Epsilon Sigma Phi (ESP) for financially supporting KSRE participants each year in NELD. To learn more about NELD and aspects of the training that could benefit you, contact Nozella, Lisa or any past graduate of NELD.
