Presentation proposals will be accepted until April 15. Four presentation types will be considered for the conference program: Oral presentations, posters, success stories, and exhibits. Conference planners have identified 11 topic areas for the 2016 conference. Visit the conference Call for Abstracts website for more information and links for submitting abstracts: http://www.vsu.edu/nationalsmallfarmconference/abstracts.php.

The National Small Farm Conference, held every three to four years, brings together hundreds of stakeholders who work with small farmers and ranchers. The 2016 conference features a number of pre-conference short courses, plenary sessions, oral and poster presentations, success stories, exhibits, and educational tours. This conference brings together a diversity of professionals and leaders from academia, non-governmental organizations, governmental agencies, foundations, and the grassroots farming community whose goals and activities support small farmers and ranchers. The conference aims to strengthen collaborations and partnerships among stakeholders, and provides an opportunity to share new ideas in research, extension, and outreach to build resilient farming systems and the quality of life within communities.
